DAMnation The Animation Film Festival celebrates animators both experienced and new. Our community is focused on building lasting relationships and creating unique experiences.
No submission fees. No awards. We want to give animators an opportunity to share their work on the big screen in a welcoming and inclusive environment full of people excited about animation.
Venue: The Complex, Dublin City Centre
Time: November 29th, 3-11pm
We’re looking for films from all levels and disciplines. So if your film has any form of animation, please don’t hesitate to submit.

Festival is Over 18’s only.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
By submitting, you hereby grant DAMnation Film Festival all rights necessary to exhibit and promote the submitted and accepted film at the 2025 festival. The Festival may use excerpts from competition films to promote the Festival.
You represent that such exhibition will not violate or infringe upon any rights whatsoever (including copyright, trademark, musical or contract right) of any person or entity. You further represent that you are authorised to submit the above-referenced film. Additionally, you indemnify the Festival from any and all claims, demands, losses, costs, damages, and attorney's fees arising out of or in connection with third parties in regard to the screening of the film mentioned above.

Films submitted must have been produced after 1 January 2024.

No premiere requirements.

No charge for film submissions. Yes, all film submissions are free.

Acceptable submissions may be of any type or style, such as music videos, documentaries, non-narrative etc.

No unfinished, in-progress, or rough cut projects will be accepted.

Entries must be received by 18th November 2025

Entries should not exceed 15 minutes.

The number of entries by one author is not limited.

Films that promote violence or discrimination against protected attributes, or contain explicit drug advertisement are barred from the festival programme.

Films featuring languages other than English must have English subtitles.

A film that has been applied can only be withdrawn with adequate notice of 7 working days before the festival takes place.

Screening copy: MP4 or MOV in h264 codec.

Films that are already available to stream online are still eligible.

Use of artificial intelligence of any kind should be clearly and plainly stated with your submission detailing where and how it has been used.
